Bringing the school year, and (belatedly*) our 7th Annual #Microblog event to a close, the effervescent educator Chris Walker, AKA, @CoachWalk is back with another personalized message for educators. This one nudged me to reflect on the successes that my students and I have had together this year.
Chris shares his #teachingreflection videos regularly on social media, and I always look forward to these upbeat and insightful recordings. Chris’ reflections are full of positivity and energy, and he shares motivational growth opportunities in each of his bite-sized videos.
Hey peeps, Coach Walker here! I hope all is well.
Oh my gosh, the school year is officially a wrap! It is done. You have finished the year—well, for most of you, anyway! Some of you might have another week to go, and some of you finished a week and a half ago, but it’s all good. This year is in the books, and you all have been absolute game changers.
Think about everything you tackled this year: new assessments, shifting curriculums, updated standards, new administration, and new roles or titles within your schools. You stepped up to make changes and be difference-makers for the kiddos, and you made their lives better. Even if they didn’t say it, I want to say it: Thank you. Thank you so much for all that you’ve done.
Take those wins with you. Wear that badge of honor, write it down, or journal about it, but truly take a moment to reflect on all the incredible, game-changing things you accomplished this school year.
Now that it’s over, wrap up these final few workdays and focus on two things: relaxing and refreshing. Read a book, go hiking, or just put on some trash TV and enjoy your downtime.
Have a phenomenal summer!
Coach Walker
- I apologize. Chris sent his video to me and I missed his message in X. It was worth the wait. You can catch Chris at the 2026 PE Institute – get all the details here.
